MTL Manchester was Merseyside Transports attack on GM Buses. The fleet started with Atlanteans and Nationals drafted in from the main fleet, however as the operation grew more buses were needed and soon Leyland Nationlas from the length and breadth of Britain appeared on Manchesters streets after passing through Liverpools Edge Lane works. This one, one of Merseysides own examples transfered in from St Helens and devoid of fleetnames stands in an eerily quiet City centre. Within twelve months of this photo being taken various
